A beautiful Spring welcome to Friday Harbor
The San Juan Islands are an archipelago located in the northwest corner of Washington State in the United States.
There are over 170 islands in the San Juan Islands, but only four are served by ferries and are inhabited: San Juan Island, Orcas Island, Lopez Island, and Shaw Island. The islands are known for their stunning natural beauty, with rugged coastlines, forests, and mountains, and are a popular destination for outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, and whale watching.
The San Juan Islands are also home to a variety of wildlife, including bald eagles, harbor seals, orcas, and numerous other marine and land animals. In addition to the natural attractions, the islands have a rich cultural history, with evidence of human habitation dating back over 8,000 years.
