The Angels are in the city
The Blue Angels is the United States Navy’s flight demonstration squadron, known for its impressive aerobatic performances. They use sleek F/A-18 Hornet and F/A-18 Super Hornet aircraft to showcase their precision maneuvers and skills at airshows and events across the country. The team’s primary mission is to inspire and represent the Navy and Marine Corps while promoting the importance of aviation and recruiting new talent to join their ranks.
The team got its name from the “Blue Angel” nightclub in New York City, where the original squadron members gathered before they were officially established.
The “High Alpha Pass” is one of their most challenging maneuvers, where the aircraft flies at a slow speed and high angle of attack, showcasing the precise control of the aircraft.
