Got to try out the Fujifilm X-H2S camera in person. Took a step out into the city and captured this shot on the Lake Washington Ship Canal

The canal also has a beautiful Ship Canal trail all the way from South Lake Union to Ballard Locks. It takes about 90 minutes to complete this trail.

The Lake Washington Ship Canal is a navigable waterway in the state of Washington, USA, that connects Lake Washington to the Puget Sound. It was constructed in the early 20th century and is known for its complex system of locks that allow boats to pass between the two bodies of water, overcoming a significant difference in water levels. The canal’s construction had a major impact on Seattle’s development by providing a direct route for ships and helping to lower the level of Lake Washington to prevent flooding.

The construction of the canal was a massive engineering undertaking. It involved digging a trench, building locks and a dam, and diverting water from the Cedar River to lower the level of Lake Washington. The locks, specifically the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, are still in operation today.
