A summer afternoon in the Sundarban Delta

This is the jungle of Sundarbans, the largest delta region in the world. Surprisingly, it’s also the only mangrove forest in the world where tigers have made their home. Nowhere else do tigers live so close to marine life.

Sundarbans gets its name from the large mangrove trees Sundari (Heritiera Littoralis). It is also designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

To watch the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, you would need a bit of luck, as there is no prediction on when you could get to see one. The national park does maintain a register of date and time whenever a tiger is spotted. Maybe you could try and make a prediction.
