The peak stands at an elevation of approximately 5,168 feet (1,575 meters) and is known for its distinctive rock formation. Its rugged cliffs and steep slopes make it a challenging climb for experienced mountaineers. The standard route to the summit involves a combination of hiking and scrambling, requiring technical skills and proper equipment.

During the winter months, Guye Peak becomes a sought-after destination for backcountry skiing and snowboarding. Its varied terrain provides opportunities for both intermediate and advanced skiers. However, it is essential to exercise caution and have avalanche awareness due to the mountain’s terrain and prevailing snow conditions.

Guye Peak offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Cascade Mountains, including nearby peaks such as Snoqualmie Mountain.

The peak is named after Francis M. Guye, a prominent Seattle-based mining engineer who explored the area in 1800s. Guye was involved in mining operations in the Snoqualmie Pass region.
